Massage Therapy

Intentionally setting aside time for you and your body is the first step to creating long term health. It’s about establishing a greater understanding of your body and creating an intimate relationship with your body, so you can learn to listen to the messages it’s sending you.

It is important to learn to become an active participant in your health, rather than simply reacting to it.

My massage treatments are designed to give you the care, tools and information you need to make the changes you want to see in your health. During your initial assessment, I will work with you to determine the best course of treatment. I am trained in Deep Tissue, Myofascial Massage, CranioSacral Therapy, and also as a Doula.

CranioSacral Therapy

CranioSacral Therapy is a hands-on technique that works directly with the central nervous system. It’s performed through gently working with the spine and the skull, cranial sutures, diaphragms, and fascia to help release tensions deep in the body to relive pain and dysfunction and to improve overall health.

Pregnancy and Infant massage

Your body is changing its centre of gravity so low back may be sore. Hips will get tight, nerve pain in your ribs because of compression in diaphragm and rib cage: inercostal neuralgia. Rib/nerve pain. Limphidemia in the legs: swollen feet and legs. Or post partum, when breastfeeding so many symptoms I treat: upper back pain from protraction. Giving yourself some love.

Infant massage: colic issues, digestive issues, sleep issues. Massage helps to relieve digestive issues.

Myofascial Massage

Myofascial release (MFR) therapy focuses on releasing muscle shortness and tenseness. It is an effective treatment used to address ongoing back, shoulder and hip pain, or virtually any pain in an area containing soft tissue. Many patients also seek myofascial treatment after losing flexibility or function following an injury.
